How to Play AI Interrogation

You get ten tries to question a suspect. Balance pressure and rapport while testing context, timeline, evidence, and contradictions.

This step-by-step guide explains the ten try loop, tone failure modes, and six question roles: context, timeline, evidence, contradiction, motive, and confirmation. For the Full Confession objective, establish context, test the timeline and evidence, inspect contradictions, then confirm—without promising guaranteed answers.

Limit

10 questions

Every repeated or unfocused prompt uses part of the same limited interrogation.

Goal

Full confession

The game asks you to move from context to testable details and then a supported confession check.

Tone

Firm, not extreme

Too mean can cause shutdown; too nice can encourage lies. No numeric tone threshold is published.

Step by step

A ten-try interrogation method

This sequence is an editorial method built around the official limit and tone warnings. Adapt it to the suspect's actual answers.

  1. Step 1

Choose the case and capture the opening context

Read the case setup before typing. Write down the people, location, event, and any object already mentioned. Do not assume an unshown culprit or clue.

  2. Step 2

    Ask for a bounded account

Use one open question to hear the suspect's version of a specific event. A bounded prompt gives context without spending several tries on vague conversation.

  3. Step 3

    Build a timeline

Ask what happened immediately before or after a key moment. Record the answer so you can compare later details rather than relying on memory.

  4. Step 4

    Test a concrete detail

Choose an object, action, observation, or location already raised in the conversation. Neutral evidence questions are easier to compare than a broad accusation.

  5. Step 5

    Follow a contradiction

Only challenge a conflict after two statements can be compared. Restate the mismatched details plainly and ask the suspect to explain the difference.

  6. Step 6

    Reserve the last tries

Keep at least one question for a focused confirmation or confession check. The official description gives you ten tries, so mark each used question in the planner.

If you're stuck

If the suspect shuts down

Lower the heat without automatically agreeing. Replace accusations with one concrete question about where, when, what changed, or how the suspect knows it.

If you're stuck

If answers stay vague

Ask for a time, object, location, action, or sequence, then compare that detail with an earlier answer.
